Tuudo’s digital recruitment fair was organized over four days from 13 to 16 September 2022. A total of 63 employers and more than 18,000 fair visitors participated in the recruitment fair.
This autumn’s recruitment fair was the fourth student recruitment fair organized by Tuudo. The first Tuudo recruitment fair was held in January 2021. The fully digital fair received excellent reception already then, and the event has since grown steadily in terms of both users and recruiting employers.
During the fair, users had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the employer profiles and open job announcements either in a swiping view or as a list. In the swiping view, jobs or company profiles could be swiped either to the right or to the left according to interest, just like in a dating app of working life.
In addition to swiping, Tuudo users could approach interesting employers via chat or by making an appointment for speed dating, i.e., a 15-minute quick interview. During the fair, a working life webinar was also organized over two days on 14.-15.9.
At the recruitment fair, students were looking for the right part-time job
The theme of the autumn recruitment fair was part-time work, as in the previous year. However, there were many job opportunities for students, from full-time work to temporary jobs. A total of 63 employers participated in the event, which is more than 30% more than in September 2021. The number of fair visitors also increased significantly compared to autumn last year. In total, there were 18,340 fair visitors during the four days, which is almost 50% more than in autumn 2021.
This year, the filtering of company profiles and jobs had been enhanced so that students got to swipe even more relevant jobs and employer profiles compared to last year. This made swiping jobs and employers more convenient and efficient from the user’s point of view. Students swiped a lot and a total of 192,380 swipes were made during the fair, which is almost 20% more than in September 2021.
Chat, speed dating and webinar created a fair atmosphere
Chat, speed dating and the work life webinar gave fair visitors the opportunity to connect with employers easily and quickly. The chat and speed dating features were now in use for the third time at Tuudo’s recruitment fair, while the webinar was already held at the first recruitment fair in January 2021.
A webinar on working life was organized this fall over two days, September 14-15 via Teams On both webinar days, we heatrd a dozen interesting presentations from representatives of different fields. The employers themselves could define the theme for their speech, and during the half an hour the students also got to ask questions. You could follow the webinar live or watch it afterwards as a recording.
At this recruitment fair, 29 employers offered the possibility to chat. Employers could themselves define the times that suited them the best to keep the chat open and let students ask more about job opportunities. Speed dating also interested students this fall. 20 employers offered speed dating at this fair.
The recruitment fair returns in January with a summer job theme
In the spring, the job search gets heated again, when most students are looking for summer jobs. The next time Tuudo’s digital recruitment fair will be held 16.-22.1.2023 with a summer work theme. The recruitment fair is again implemented in cooperation with Oikotie and the Responsible Summer Job campaign. Employer registration for the fair is already open, so get in touch and book your place!
